Xen "Project Tracking" Review for the Past Year - Marc Ungeschikts, Vates

For many years now, the Xen project has been increasingly seen as a dated project outside of the Xen community, probably due to the use of the mailing list, which does not help to have a clear view of the direction and progress of the Xen project.
To enhance the Xen project visibility outside the community and attract more contributors, the Xen community, led by its community manager George Dunlap, decided to try an initiative using Gitlab capabilities to manage projects, with epics, label, and Kanban boards to track Xen projects activities and progress.
We will see:
  • How it works now in Gitlab and how Xen contributors can help to keep project tracking up to date and relevant for everyone.
  • If it helps to improve Xen projects' visibility and attract more contributors.
  • How it is used also for the release manager.
We will discuss the following:
  • How we can improve it.
  • Whether it should be used or not for Xen developers, bug tracking, and/or development tracking.
